Lightspeed Connect is a supported broker integration, providing access to both paper and live trading environments through a unified platform interface. Anthid manages the broker connection lifecycle, authentication, streaming connectivity, account routing, and platform integration layers so applications can interact with Lightspeed through the same APIs used across Anthid.

Availability

Stability: Beta. The functionality documented on this page is implemented and routed end to end in both paper and live environments. The integration is usable in production and is still being hardened, so broker-specific behavior can change ahead of general availability. This integration carries no service level commitment. See Integration stability and Service levels.
Lightspeed Connect is currently available to all organizations. Support includes:
  • Paper trading accounts
  • Live trading accounts
  • Real-time order updates
  • Real-time position updates
  • Intent-based order submission
  • Risk and trading controls
  • Historical ledger storage

Supported Environments

Both environments can be connected simultaneously within the same organization.

Broker Limits

Lightspeed Connect imposes limits that Anthid respects and enforces. Anthid may apply additional platform-level protections and controls to maintain reliability and fair usage.

Supported Functionality

Lightspeed Connect supports:
  • Market orders
  • Limit orders
  • Stop orders
  • Stop-limit orders
  • Smart routing and selected direct exchange routes
  • DAY time in force through the current end-to-end intent integration
For the current compatibility matrices and exact intent values, see Supported Order Types, Supported Destinations, and Supported Time In Force.

Trading Accounts

Each Lightspeed account connected to Anthid is represented as a Trading Account. Trading Accounts can be used with:
  • Intents
  • Orders
  • Positions
  • Controls
  • Streaming API
  • Historical ledger APIs
Applications interact with Trading Accounts rather than directly managing broker sessions.

Authentication

Lightspeed credentials are managed through Anthid Trading Accounts. Applications never communicate directly with Lightspeed APIs and do not need to manage broker authentication flows, session handling, or connection recovery logic.

Reliability

Anthid maintains broker connectivity on behalf of connected applications. This includes:
  • Connection management
  • Automatic reconnection
  • Event streaming
  • Order state synchronization
  • Position synchronization
  • Broker event processing
Applications consume a consistent platform interface regardless of broker-specific implementation details.
