Supported Destinations

Overview

Exchange destinations determine where an order is routed for execution. route_strategy controls how a create intent is routed. Use the Anthid value in your intent request; Anthid translates it to the broker-specific destination. SMART is the portable choice across current broker integrations. Alpaca orders are routed using its smart-routing behavior. Lightspeed Connect also supports the direct routes listed below.

Notes

Direct routing sends an order to a specific exchange destination.
Smart routing delegates venue selection to the broker.
Destination availability can also depend on the instrument, account, environment, and market session.
A broker may reject a route after Anthid accepts the intent. Monitor the intent and order event lifecycle.
